What can I add to my meatloaf to add some pizazz?

Layer half the meat in the loaf pan...then cover with a thick (8oz) layer of shredded cheddar cheese and fresh chopped cooked bacon, then spread other half of meat on top...Bake as usual and it will have a nice cheese striped slice of meatloaf. :)
