Should the Lions just not show up in Green Bay next week?
They havent "shown up" all season long....why start now? I feel for you, I am a nearly 50 year old Lions fan and have yet to see them build a team that even had a remote shot at being a contender...including the years with the great Barry Sanders. Ford has never cared about winning but I am hopeful the humiliation that comes with 0-16 is enough for him to get his a$$ off his wallet and pay a real and qualified GM. I watched todays game and think back to when both Kitna and Brees were both free agents at the same time....we never even attempted to sign Brees. But really it is no different than the drafts. We have had 6 top 10 picks in the last 7 drafts (and soon to be 7 in the past 8) and we only have 1 guy to show for it. Look at the bright side, you are likely a lot younger than Ford so just maybe you will see ownership that cares about winning and the teams fans...Ford has proven time and again he could care less about winning and could care even less about the fans. I celebrated the day Millen was fired but only for a minute....that is when I realized the real problem still owns the team (an owner who cares would never hire a TV guy to run his team in the first place but even if one did they wouldnt need nearly 8 years to figure out how bad the guy sucked). They sucked bad long before Millen, he just managed to prove where "rock bottom" really is since he felt we didnt know rock bottom yet! 7 winning seasons in their last 35 (that would mean 28 losing ones) speaks volumes of how little Ford has cared. But at least we can know it is completely on Ford to own the worst team in NFL history (and the 1-22 record in their last 23 games must make him proud too).
