Catholics believe in Mary and pray to her because the ten commandments say honor your mother and father. People who believe in the ten commandents (catholics) understand that Jesus's mom was Mary, so they pray to her to ask Jesus to answer their prayers because the commandent says "honor your "mother"...." and Jesus would honor his mother..
