So my sis took a fake flower from the hilton hotel?

we stayed at the hilton hotel for a day my my sis and friend of mine stayed on the bottom floor my parents stayed on the 4th floor. my mom saw this really pretty fake orchid flower and laughed saying u shud steal this ilike it. i thought she was for real so my sis put it n her bag. my dad didnt knw bout it till we got home and totally freaked out when he found out, yelling about being charged or losing his job over a fake flower costing no more then 15 dollars. is he over reacting or what
