My chickens haven't laid for months - is this normal?

Chickens have a pecking order. They will establish it almost immediately. Roosters may even kill their babies if they feel threatened...but with hens, it doesn't really go that far. I think they will be fine, just let nature take its course. How old are the hens? If they are too old, stressed, or don't feel safe, they may have quit laying.
